Q - I don't live in Selma, but I do work in Selma. Am I eligible for assistance?
A - Yes, anyone who lives or works in Selma is eligible, including your spouse or dependant children.

Q - Do you share my information with anyone?
A - No, we don't share your information with anyone. All information is kept confidential.

Q - Where do you get your money from?
A - We have several fund raising events during the year. We also receive memorials and private
donations. Please visit our events page for more info.

Q - Where is the money spent?
A - All funds stay here in Selma. We have no paid staff, everyone is a volunteer. We have minimal
expenses, this allows us to help as many people as we can.

Q - What do I have to do to qualify for assistance?
A - You will need to meet with our “Support Services” person and complete a short application. We
will ask you for a letter of diagnosis from your doctor and proof that you are going through
treatment for cancer.

Q - What type of assistance do you provide?
A - We help with rent payments, house payments, insurance, medical expenses, travel to and from
treatment and much more. We evaluate each request and do our best to meet the immediate
needs of the patient.

Q - What other services do you offer?
A - We have a support group and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. Cancer survivors,
family, friends, and caregivers come together to offer support to one another. It is an
opportunity to ask questions and get answers from those who have gone through cancer.
Stories of survival offer hope and encouragement.

Q - Where can I get information about different types of cancer?
A - We have an office located at 2128 North St. here in Selma. We are located directly behind the
post office in downtown Selma. You will find us inside Bill Tucker & Associates Real Estate. We
have many different brochures and booklets on various types of cancer. We also have
information on different treatments such as radiation and chemotherapy.
